Box Heart's Mission:
'Art is both love and friendship and understanding, the desire to give. It is not charity, which is the giving of things, it is more than kindness, which is the giving of the self. It is both the taking and giving of beauty, the turning out to the light the inner folds of the awareness of the spirit. It is the recreation of another plane of the realities of the world, the tragic and wonderful realities of earth and man, and all the interrelations of these.'
(Written by Ansel Adams in a letter to his best friend, Cedric Wright in 1937.)

Box Heart Gallery is a Fine Art and Fine Craft Gallery located in Pittsburgh's 'Little Italy.' Exhibiting the work of over 450 regional, national and international artists, Box Heart exhibits contemporary media including: painting, drawing, works on paper, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics and glass. Box Heart hosts monthly exhibitions for represented artists and also hosts one distinct group exhibition each year: 'Art Inter/National.'

In addition to the array of exhibition opportunities available for artists, Box Heart also offers its customers several unique artistic services to enhance their art buying experience. Some of these services include: Art Rental, Custom Framing, Art Consulting, and Art Installation. Through Mox Box Consulting, Box Heart remains committed to the communities in which we live and work. We encourage and support artists, nonprofit organizations, private entities, and other enterprises that work to improve the quality of life for all people in our communities. Our Mission is to:

- FACILITATE art projects using collaborative communication and cooperative activity.
- PROVIDE thorough research to enable educated public art related decisions.
- INTEGRATE fun and creativity into the art acquisition process for stakeholders and the community.
- CREATE a vision of an expanding urban economy with a social, political, and economic rationale.
- BE EFFICIENT with our client's time and financial resources.
